Signet PDA200E
The SigNET PDA200E wall mounted induction loop amplifier is simple to install using the internal screw connectors and preset controls. The simple set-up procedure means that no further adjustments are necessary and this unit can be installed even by a novice installer.
Four easy-to-access inputs are provided on the Signet PDA200E:-
- Balanced/unbalanced mic (with phantom power for use with electret mics).
- Balanced/unbalanced line (for the connection of TV and other audio feeds).
- Alert tone switch (a tone generator for use with doorbells, fire alarms, etc).

Where interaction with the general public is required, many British standards and 'Acts' lay down requirements surrounding access to services by people with any kind of disability. Failure to provide assitive hearing devices is considered discrimination and is therefore an infrigement of those Standards. Correct installation of an audio frequency induction loop amplifier such as the Signet PDA200E will ensure compliance with all necessary legislation.
In addition to BS7594 (The Code of Practice for Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems) and EN60118-4 (Magnetic field strength in audio frequency induction loop systems for hearing aid purposes), such standards include: Building Regulations Part M1 : Access to and use of buildings (2004), BS 8300 (2009), The Equality Act (2010), The Human Rights Act (1998), Care Standards Act (2000) and The English Tourism Council’s National Accessible Scheme.
