The Yamaha MA2120 is a compact mixer amplifier with a low impedance output of 2 x 120 watts per channel (4Ω) or 2 x 120 watts / 1 x 200 watts on 100 volt line.

The highly efficient Class D amplifier is energy efficient and offers cool running without the need for cooling fans. This is combined with intelligent protection functions in the power supply and amplifier section for excellent reliability.

Ideal for small commercial installations, the amp is easy to set up and the well designed control layout focusses on the large volume control knob whilst the lesser used controls are more discreet.

The MA2120 benefits from a rugged metal chassis, 2 stereo inputs and 6 mic / line inputs along with a feedback suppressor, high pass filter and automatic BGM ducking when the microphone is activated. There are also 'compressor', 'reverb' and 'echo' DSP functions.

An auto standby function greatly diminishes power consumption in applications where announcements or music playback are delivered intermittently. If an an audio signal is not detected for more than 25 minutes, the amp automatically goes into standby mode and switches back on when it detects a signal from the systems input devices.

Bass and treble stereo soure EQ controls are on the front panel and an enhance function adds harmonics to improve the sound. There is also an output EQ on this model along with selectable high pass and low pass filters.

The Yamaha MA2120 is complemented by the PA2120 compact power amplifier (see related products) and these can be used together for larger installations.
