LD Systems MAILA COL
The LD Systems MAILA COL full-range powered column module boasts 4 x 6.5'' custom-made woofers for an extended low-mid range, and includes a 4-channel DSP amplifier with 2.5 kW RMS output to drive the column itself and any connected MAILA SAT satellites.
This versatile elegant column element can be used in a ground stack system with up to 6 SATs creating a system up to 3.4 metres high, considerably higher than conventional systems resulting in a greater throw & uniform sound coverage in the far field.
In a flown array the MAILA COL can support up to eight MAILA SAT - especially useful for festivals and fixed installations. (MAILA COL is easily hung from trussing with the optional MAILA Easymount+ truss bracket.) In addition, as with a classic line array, users can select different subwoofer arrangements to suit the sound reinforcement requirements on site.
The innovative LD Systems SmartLink+® system provides a cable-free connection between the MAILA COL and MAILA SAT modules; robust aluminium rails provide connection for both audio signal and power supply also ensuring installed satellites are detectable for automatic or manual DSP processing.
Another outstanding innovative feature of the MAILA system is LogoLink®. The free MAILA app (iPadOS) enables every MAILA system to be quickly, easily and precisely adjusted wirelessly and supplied with software updates. Once connected, the app automatically recognises all connected MAILA components for quick and easy set up - including calculation of the SAT angles, even before you arrive on site. The name ‘Logolink’ is derived from the wireless antennas being invisibly integrated into the LD logo.
